Seborowski and Love Honored

Student Senate Awards Student, SSI Employee.

Joseph Seborowski Jr. and Zachary Love were recently honored for their work in and around campus by the Millersville University Student Senate.

Seborowski is the recipient of the Person of the Year Award (Student) for his “hard work and passion for the safety of the University, the students and the community.” He has been involved with volunteer fire services since he was 16-years-old and currently serves Blue Rock Station 905. He  completed almost 300 extra hours of training this year.  Seborowski was also honored for taking the initiative to revise the outdated emergency operations plan for the Information Desk at the Student Memorial Center.  He is a member of the Student Services’ Safety Committee, the chair of the LiveSafe App Committee and serves as treasurer for the MU chapter of the International Association of Emergency Managers.

Zachary Love

Love is the recipient of the Person of the Year Award (Faculty/Staff) for his “dedication and involvement to Millersville University and the community.”  Love received his bachelor’s in technology education and his master’s in education, both from Millersville.  Love was honored for his contribution to the establishment of the LiveSafe app to ensure safety on campus. He has also spent time promoting the University throughout the community with the Lancaster County Community Foundation.  Love is the evening operations manager at the Student Memorial Center’s Information Desk.  In giving him the award, the Student Senate stated “Zachary has created a more efficient and effective work environment for the employees.  He also contributes to the University with his positive energy and his attitude that radiates joy to everyone around him.”

What an honor Zach! You were on this amazing path as an undergraduate. So great to see you continue to succeed. Keep up the excellent work.

Congratulations to you, Zach! And to Joseph, too. I had the good fortune of having you, Zach, in one of my graduate courses. You were/are exemplary in all regards. You are a bright star for our future on planet Earth.
