Keynote speaker Maureen Powers

Maureen Powers will be the keynote speaker at this year’s commencement. Powers is the chief executive officer of the YWCA of Lancaster and will retire at the end of the year after serving in this position for 27 years. Under her leadership, the YWCA Lancaster received the first Racial Justice Award from the YWCA of the Mid-Atlantic Region and the first Champions of Diversity Award given jointly by the Urban League of Lancaster County and the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Parking is available in the Penn Manor, James Street or Biemesderfer parking lots. The Pucillo parking lot will be for handicapped parking only. Special seating in the handicap accessible area is available for guests unable to sit in the bleachers or climb steps.  Each special-needs guest will receive one ticket. Companion tickets will not be available due to limited seating.

The Student Memorial Center’s Multi-Purpose Room will be open for a live broadcast of the ceremony. This option may be ideal for individuals who have limited mobility, young children, or desire more comfort in a less crowded space. Tickets are not required for this location.
