HOOAH!!! What a wonderful way to honor those Millersville graduates who have served this great nation, by having a highly successful Soldier and former Marauder, like LTG Mann receive an honorary doctorate degree at spring commencement!! Duty – Honor -Country! Class of 1976.

I had the pleasure of meeting General Mann the day before our May 2011 commencement. Gen. Mann surprised several ROTC cadets and their families at the commissioning ceremony that preceded their graduation. The cadets received a commission to second lieutenant in the US Army from a General who had walked in their shoes on our campus.

In subsequent meetings, I’ve observed General Mann to be a man who promotes continuing education to his soldiers. I appreciate Millersville University recognizing a leader who is “one of us”, a Marauder!

Congratulations General Mann and thanks to you and your family for your service!
