Call for Nominations

Nominations for the Distinguished Civic Leadership Awards are due March 9!

The Civic and Community Engagement and Research Project (CCERP) at Millersville is soliciting nominations for the Distinguished Civic Leadership Awards to be presented on April 12, which will feature Anne Beiler, founder of Auntie Anne’s Pretzels, as the keynote speaker. The purpose of these awards is to publicly recognize notable civic/community contributions on the part of individuals and entities that have had a positive impact locally, regionally, nationally or internationally.

Nominees may fall into one of the following eligible categories: A local, regional, national or international figure; a Millersville University faculty or staff member; a Millersville University student or alumni; a non-Millersville University student (including pre-college); a nonprofit organization or corporation or other business entity or institution including schools but not governmental agencies.

The awards recipients will be selected based on the following criteria:

  1. Nominees fall into an eligible category.
  2. Nominee has made a significant contribution(s) to the local, regional, national or international community.
  3. Nominee’s leadership or actions have benefited others or the community.
  4. Nominee’s leadership inspires of empowers others to become civically involved.
