I chose this article because teacher, parent, and family communication is critical to the success of students in education. So often teachers do not effectively communicate with families, then this begins to fail the student. A strong relationship between home and school shows students that both are involved and active participants in their education. The topic I am going to explore is how to effectively communicate with parents and families, and build strong relationships. This topic is most important to me because as a mother, I have had teachers communicate well and often about my child’s education and in turn some who have failed to communicate an entire school year. It is time to begin building strong and meaningful relationships between home, school, and communities.
