New York City Day Trip – Deadline Extended to September 20!

Join us for a one-day trip to the Big Apple! We will see many of the famous sites, such as Times Square, One World Trade Center, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park and more! Cost is $40.00 for transportation and admission to the observation deck, where you will see the entire city from 1776 feet up in the air! After seeing the Statue of Liberty from a ferry and visiting One World Trade Center, students will have the option of taking two different routes through the city, as shown below. We will then all join together again to see Times Square and Central Park.

    • Option A: Chinatown, Brooklyn Bridge, and the United Nations and more!
    • Option B: Greenwich Village, Washington Square Park, The Highline Park and more!

Sign-up at the Global Education office and bring your $40.00 deposit. Deadline to sign-up is extended to September 20 or sooner, if all seats taken. Limited seating, so first come, first served.


Baseball Game

Take me out to the ball game! Join us for America’s pastime, a baseball game with our local Lancaster Barnstormers baseball team. It will be an evening of fun, food and new friends. The ticket cost is $5.00, which includes food items for dinner and snacks. Sign-up at the Global Education office by Wednesday, September 6 and bring your $5.00 then. Limited to 20 seats, so sign up now.

Important Information for the Beginning of Fall 2017


  • Returning students can move in on Sat. 4/26 and Sun. 4/27
  • Refer to MU’s Housing Website for details on the move-in times for each residence hall
  • If you would like to move-in prior to this please email to arrange this as soon as possible!


  • Meal plans can start being used during Brunch on Saturday, August 26 from 9am-1:30pm  in the Upper Deck
  • More information on dining hall hours before the start of the semester can be found here.


  • Check out Global Education’s new website! It’s recently been updated with more resources for international students.
  • ALL returning students are required to check-in with Global Education during the first two weeks of classes to complete an updated Information Sheet. An updated address  and phone number is required for your SEVIS registration.
  • ALL students who have moved or changed majors are required to complete a request for Update Request Form for immigration documents.  An updated address  and phone number is required for your SEVIS registration.
  • Update your health insurance! If you purchased health insurance last year for academic year 2016-2017, then you may need to purchase health insurance for this academic year 2017-2018. Stop by Global Education if you need assistance.

Greetings from Global Education at Millersville University!

We are pleased that you will be joining us this August and look forward to meeting you in person during Orientation. We are excited to work with you as you adjust to life in Millersville and the United States.

Over the course of your time at MU you will be receiving a weekly newsletter which will give you important information regarding immigration, housing, move-in/move-out dates, exam schedules, course registration, events across the campus and much more!
