New Study Abroad Video

The Office of Global Education is proud to present a new promotional video featuring many of our past study abroad students. The video was produced, filmed, and edited by Cailin Clothier, an office intern and past study abroad participant herself. Cailin is a Communications major with a concentration in Broadcasting. She used her skills to create a video that interviews students on their experiences abroad. The video features students who studied abroad through our Millersville Partner programs in: Chile, France, Germany, Scotland, and Spain.

Celebration Event Thank You

The Office of Global Education & Partnerships would like to thank all of those who attended the Celebration of International Education event on Wednesday, April 20th. Thank you to the donors, alumni, administration, and faculty who came out to support our study abroad and international students. Congratulations to the International Honors Society and Global Ambassador Inductees, and congratulations to all of our graduating seniors!

New Program Coordinator at Global Ed!

The Office of Global Education and Partnerships is pleased to announce the addition of Kristin Zoschg as Program Coordinator.    Kristin is a graduate of Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA. She was an exchange student in Australia and a study abroad participant in Lithuania. She has volunteered and adventured in many other locations around the globe. Kristin is eager to mentor students through the study abroad process so that they may have similar life-changing experiences! Stop in and say hello to Kristin and chat with her about studying abroad!

Study/Intern Abroad Open House!

On Wednesday, April 13th, Global Education will host a Study/Intern Abroad Open House! Students are invited to drop by the Office of Global Education in Cumberland House between 9:00 am-3:00 pm to learn more information about studying, interning or student teaching abroad. Study abroad Program Coordinators will be available to meet with students who are interested in going abroad for academic credit and to discuss the study abroad process.  Receive a free lanyard when you visit!

International Visitor Updates

ThiCCIEE delegations week, a second smaller delegation from CCIEE,  China Center for International Economic Exchanges, visited Millersville University to discuss the various programs available to Millersville University, as a new member in the 1+2+1 Sino-American Cooperation on Higher Education and Professional Development (CHEPD) program. The delegation included the Executive Director of CCIEE, Yin Kai.

Millersville is also hosting a visiting scholar from Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, Dr. Wan. Dr. Wan will be here for one year doing academic research with the Economics Department.

Currently, Millersville is also hosting short term visitors from Sweden who are working on developing a partnership between Millersville University and K-12 schools in Stockholm, Sweden for Education majors. They are looking into both short term programs, possible international student teaching opportunities, as well as internship possibilities.

Study/Intern Abroad Open House

On Wednesday, March 23rd, Global Education will host a Study/Intern Abroad Open House! Students are invited to drop by the Office of Global Education in Cumberland House between 9am-3pm to learn more information about the experieince of a lifetime!!  Study abroad Program Coordinators will be available to meet with students who are interested in going abroad for academic credit and to discuss the study abroad process. Be one of the first 15 students in the door and receive a free drawstring backpack!

CCIEE’s Delegation Visit

In January, a delegation from CCIEE,  China Center for International Economic Exchanges,图7:MILLERSVILLE1 visited Millersville University to discuss our new partnership in the 1+2+1 Sino-American Cooperation on Higher Education and Professional Development (CHEPD) program. Administration and faculty gave presentations about various majors and programs on campus to the group, consisting of representatives from multiple Chinese universities.
