NEW MU Course Abroad – SUMMER 2012 in SPAIN!

The Office of Global Education and Prof. Rivera-Hernandez are excited to announce a new course available to MU students this summer. Dr. Rivera-Hernandez will be leading a course through Millersville University’s international partner institution,  Universidad Pública de Navarra, to Pamplona, Spain from July 29th – August 12.

This course will explore many topics that make-up modern-day Navarra. Among the topics to be discussed are: the educational system in Spain, Spanish contemporary art, the Euskera (the language of the region), the linguistic diversity of Spain, The Way of Saint James (the pilgrimage route to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela). Students will enjoy several workshops on the food, music and dance of Navarra. Prof. Rivera-Hernández will accompany the students and offer instruction on site.  Guest speakers from the Universidad Pública de Navarra will offer special classes on local topics and themes.
