Activities for Recently Returned Study Abroad Alumni

The Office of Global Education is excited to be hosting various programs and activities for students who recently returned from studying abroad during the Fall 2011 semester, including a Photo Contest, the Ambassador Program and a Return Survey! The last day to submit a Return Survey, a Photo Contest Application or an Ambassador Application is Friday, March 2, 2012. Career Week and Global Education

Looking for help on how to market yourself towards future employers? Trying to get an edge on the competitive job market? Then stop by one of Global Education’s presentations during the first day of Career Week! Representatives from the Office of Global Education will provide a “Study Abroad: A Good Career Move” session in the SMC MPR on Monday, February 13th at 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm and 1:30pm. This session will demonstrate how a study abroad experience can benefit you both personally and professionally. Studying abroad looks great on resumes and portfolios as well as helping you develop international connections, essential skills and a global perspective!

Millersville Welcomes Dr. Alberto Ibáñez Fernández!

Millersville University is pleased to welcome Dr. Alberto Ibáñez Fernández, former Provost of MU’s partner university, Foro Europeo School of Business in Pamplona, Spain. Dr. Ibáñez Fernández, a 1992 Millersville graduate, is visiting MU to teach INTL 491: Cross-Cultural and International Negotiation.

In addition to his time as an undergraduate student at Millersville studying Computer Science and Business, Dr. Ibáñez Fernández has also obtained his MBA at the University of Houston and his PhD at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, Spain.

We are excited for this opportunity to collaborate with faculty from our international partners and wish him the best of luck during his time at Millersville!
