Below is a map showing pheasant locations collected by Millersville Field Ecology students within Lancaster Central Park. Students are getting up bright and early to get data on these birds.
On September 21st, Millersville students from the Field Ecology Class, collared and released 6 ring-necked pheasants within Lancaster Central Park. Students are currently tracking the spatial movements of these birds. Updates of pheasant movements will be posted here. Stay tuned.
On Wednesday September 21st, The Ecology Field Methods Class got to practice how to set foot hold traps for live capture of carnivores. Ralph Wagner, District Supervisor for the Pennsylvania Trappers Association, guided students on the set-up of these traps.
